BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky – May 2, 2016 – Fruit of the Loom’s Imprintable Activewear division today announced a new ad campaign featuring noted decorators and their exclusive designs created with HD Cotton™.
The ads will appear in leading trade publications and online, with a link to the new microsite at www.FruitActivewear.com/HDCotton. On the site, decorators can explore the design gallery and learn how the various designs were printed, explore the collection and find out where to buy as well as stay updated on the latest news.
In addition, they can request a free sample of one of the shirts featured in the ads, and receive a blank sample shirt so they can make their own magic. Decorators can also hear what other decorators think about the product’s performance, and share their own designs on social media using the hashtag #HDCotton.
“We know that decorators become fans when they actually try their designs on HD Cotton™, so we wanted to make it easy for them to do that,” said Tony Iannuzzi, Senior Vice President, Activewear. “Seeing is believing when it comes to the results you get with this high density fabric, which has an incredibly smooth print surface.”
The printers and their artwork featured in the ad campaign are:
- Don and Carson Cowles, Wild West Shirt Co., Bozeman, Montana, “Mount Rushmore Memorial” artwork, distressed vintage collage screenprint
- Richard Patino, F&E Sportswear Corp., Montgomery, Alabama, “King Neptune” artwork, simulated four-color process screenprint
- Lon Winters, Graphic Elephants, Elizabeth, Colorado, “Elton the Elephant” artwork, simulated four-color process screenprint with high density and gel inks
- Todd Weikel, Weikel Sportswear Inc., Reading, Pennsylvania, “HD Sunglasses” artwork, simulated spot-color process screenprint.
The decorators were selected based on a variety of factors, including years in business, decorating experience, frequency of HD Cotton™ use and others. The goal was to take testimonials to the next level by encouraging all decorators to join the conversation through social media.
HD Cotton™ is the latest evolution of the 3930 that has been a popular mainstay with decorators for years. The company used customer feedback to enhance the shirts to meet decorators’ needs.
For example, all 11 styles of the new shirt have tearaway labels going forward, and the shirt’s modified design maximizes print space.
“We are excited about the feedback we’ve been getting for the HD Cotton™,” said Iannuzzi. “The decorators and consumers all like what they’re seeing.”
