Katie helps clients in a wide variety of industries clarify, solidify and amplify their identities. She uses her creative writing and journalistic training to craft messages that resonate verbally and visually with audiences. Additionally, she drafts speeches, features and news editorials for DVL Seigenthaler’s clients.
Katie is on the auxiliary board of Misericordia Home, a residence facility for disabled adults in Chicago. She is also a former board member of the Interfaith Housing Center of the Northern Suburbs, a fair housing advocacy organization in the Chicago area.
Katie received the Rayna and Marvin Miller Housing Justice Award for grassroots activism to bring about diverse, inclusive and integrated housing in Chicago’s suburbs.
As a reporter, editor and columnist with the Chicago Tribune, she inaugurated the Tribune’s “About Du Page” column. She was an editorial assistant with The Washington Post and an editor with Story Quarterly, an award-winning magazine of contemporary fiction. Katie has worked as a freelance writer and editor, and contributed regularly to the Tribune.
